Colorado Technical University - Kansas City, MO

CTU, Colorado Technical University, was originally founded in 1965 as Colorado Technical College. In 1995 the school reached university status and officially became Colorado Technical University. CTU Kansas City, located in North Kansas City, Missouri, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (30 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois 60602-2504).

CTU Kansas City is a school designed to prepare students for a variety of technology-dependent industries. Students are able to pursue a Diploma or their Associate or Bachelor’s Degrees. Classes are taught by dedicated, full-time and adjunct faculty with experience in their chosen fields. CTU Kansas City offers diploma and degree programs in the areas of:

  • Business & Management
  • Criminal Justice & Legal Studies
  • Health Sciences

As CTU students work to earn their degrees, the university’s Career Services Team provides them with career help and information, and continues to offer assistance after they’ve graduated. Career planning, job fairs, career workshops, resume & cover letter writing and interview preparation are just a few of the many options that students have in helping to fuel their job searches – options that give them an edge in a competitive job market. CTU also works with employers looking to recruit and hire CTU students and graduates for internships and full-time jobs.

The campus, located in North Kansas City, MO, is situated near a variety of interesting sites and attractions. The city is a great place for music-lovers, as it is home to the Kansas City Symphony as well as the 18th & Vine District, also known as the birthplace of Jazz. The Kansas City Zoo is also nearby – a great place to visit any day of the week and see the animals. Art-goers will enjoy spending a day at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, while Cave Spring provides its visitors with opportunities to hike, explore and picnic. There are several hotels close to the campus, which is nice for prospective students and family members wanting to visit. Lodging includes:

CTU works with students to help them find and assess their financial aid options, these options can include federal financial aid (FAFSA form) and other loans, grants, scholarships and tuition reimbursement from employers. Special financial aid options are also made available to those who have served in the military.
